Annual Church Picnic
and Baptism Service

Our Annual Church Picnic and Water Baptisms at Spencer Lake Christian Center are coming up soon! Join us for lunch, fellowship, and a special time of celebrating baptisms. LADIES AUGUST BOOK CLUB
Our next meeting will be held on Friday, August 21st, at 10:00 AM in the cafe. We will be discussing "Bread of Angels" by Tessa Afshar.
Set in the Roman world this narrative follows the journey of Lydia a dyer of purple, a merchant's daughter who rises to success in an industry dominated by men. After an unbearable betrayal robs her of her home and family, she flees to Philippi with nothing but her father’s secret dye formulas. Through courage and determination, she establishes herself as one of the city's preeminent merchants. Her success is shadowed by fear until she meets the Apostle Paul and becomes his first European convert. As her past and present collide, Lydia must decide whether to trust her fledgling faith or succumb to the secrets that have long ruled her life.
